A woman was gang-raped by her Facebook friend and his brothers in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district. The accused also made a video of the act and blackmailed her into marrying her rapist.

According to a report in PTI, the 23-year-old victim told cops that the accused had befriended her via Facebook. The accused, identified as Sonu, forcibly confined her in a hotel in the town and raped her. The accused’s brothers then joined him and they all raped her in turns and also made a video of the act.

They then threatened the victim saying that the obscene video would be made public if she did not give in to their demands. She was then allegedly forced to marry the prime accused who the victim said had hidden his true religion from her as well.
